I am taking two college courses right now. One is "Project Management" and the other is "Social Media Marketing." The latter is much more interesting. It can hold my attention for more than a few seconds, and it actually quite interesting. Honestly, I have learned a lot from this course.
I've learned about the different characteristics of the social consumers, about paid media, earned media, and owned media and how businesses utilize each. I now know about the different types of social games and how these different games can utilize advertising within them.
I've been learning about the four Zones of Social Media. I bet you didn't know there were four zones, did you? These zones are Social Community, Social Publishing, Social Entertainment, and Social Commerce. I've learned exactly how much you can use different social media for business needs and how to do so through platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest. I learned what HootSuite is and how beneficial it can be more a business struggling to keep up with multiple media platforms. It makes it much easier!
I think this class has been very informative and beneficial for anyone in the business world.
